I put the measuring stick to her closing in on 16 months. She's just shy of 14 hands at the withers and 14.2 at the butt.

Above photos from August 24, 2008.. at almost 4 months.
Below are photos from May 2009, just over a year old. I put her in with the Arab mare and her foal so I could ride the mare. Belle was the only one I could find who wouldn't pick on the kid once mom was out of the pasture!

Below are pictures from July 5 at 14 months. She really is black, just not looking it in these photos LOL.

Belle's dam is 15 hands (and the sweetest, most agreeable, willing and trainable mare who ever lived) and she is a good size for her age with a nice amount of bone and good sized feet. I tested her dam for HERDA and she is N/N. (I don't think her sire was ever tested). I've sporadically done some Clinton Anderson type ground exercises with her and she's been an excellent pupil. She's generally kept outside, but is fine in a stall. Below video was taken June 14, 2009. She's turned out to be a great baby sitter and playmate for the colt. Plus she's very calming for the mare, who can be a little bit the way she is. (Poor Angel... luckily her foals are more like dad, than her LOL)
