Below is Paris' reining debut in a green horse class where 2 spins are required and simple changes allowed along with using 2 hands. (SVRA) She scored a 66, but had a 2 point penalty for breaking gait to fix her lead after the one rollback.

Schooling video done April 26, 2009. Shannon's planning to show her in a green reining in late May and then she'll come home.
April 6, 2009. I took Paris to a local open show yesterday. I admit, I was a little nervous about her being nervous. I rode her hunt seat, and it's been years for me since doing that. It did not take much for her to settle into things. Horses galloped at her, kids ran past her, strollers rolled, and she was great! We won the 2 adult walk-trot classes we entered. Thanks so much to Shawn Bigley of Westwood Welsh Ponies for taking these great pictures! Below pictures is a bit of trot practice with the trainer the day before show.

March 2009. Paris is now officially registered with the Palomino Horse Breeders of America, also.
February, 2009. I haven't ridden anyone much lately and I don't know when I can, now that I got the plate out of my leg. So Paris is going to the trainer the middle of this month. Watch for new improved videos shortly after that! I've been emailing with the Palomino Horse Breeders of America and they feel she'll be accepted into their registry. I'll let you know when it's official.
When I brought her home from trainer in Oct. 2007, I broke my leg (plate and on crutches for 3+ months) so didn't get any riding done till fall of 2008 after weaning baby. Her lope is still a little rough, but it's going better every day. No martingale, draw reins, or side reins here. Once she gets it, she gets it.
November 2008. I've been riding her at home since weaning and she's doing great. I'm now taking lessons on her with the trainer who started her and she's lighter on her feet and showing more athletic ability now that she's not in foal. Great work ethic. Maybe she will rein!??!
Schooling video from Jan. 4, 2009 with Shannon riding when I came for a lesson.

Paris foaled a large palomino colt April 7, 2008 and here are a few pictures of him at 3 months. He's very big. Tall with the necessary large amount of bone and big joints. He was gelded before weaning. His sire is pictured below him at age 2. He's been trailered with no trouble. He comes up for attention out in the pasture and loves rough housing with the other kids. He's kinda looking like a hunt seat horse, at this point. Sweepstakes nominated.
