    Sweet Mellissa

Sweet Mellissa born April 23, 2007.  This is a big stout correct filly.  Her dam is my solid Paint Hollywood White daughter, Hollywood Cremella.  Her sire is Klint Black++, 2005 National Champion Sport Horse Stallion.  Mellissa is a smoky black with 4 white socks.   Smoky black just means she carries the dilute gene, so could end up producing a palomino or buckskin some day.    She's athletic and classy enough to do reining, or western pl., or even go the sport horse route. She's showing her mother's unworried attitude towards new things (like flapping plastic while I try for a picture).  She's priced at $6500 and is sweepstakes nominated.

Now pushing 15.1  hands at 37 months

New video added from May 1, 2010.  Under saddle about 5 weeks.

After 3+ months of training, I've brought her home.  She's looking more sport horse right now and I'm riding her and getting along with her fine.  I prefer my time and money to go to the reiners and western pl. horses, so I've reduced her price to $6500.  No reflection on HER, just me and my time.  She's solid, unworried and had good exposure to running kids, lawn mowers, Amish buggies and general commotion at the trainer.

  Dark N Mello

Dark N Mello (Darkhist X Hollywood Cremella).  This 2008 filly is a 3/4 sister to Mellissa.  She's 14.2 at 23 months.  Super bone and feet just like dad.  She's had sensitizing and desensitizing work, hauls to the farrier, gets baths, etc.  She's registered dun, but this year she's shed out extra dark... might be a smoky black.  Whatever color, she's a nice filly.  Sweepstakes nominated.  Click on her name for more photos and a video done April 24, 2010.  Currently priced at $3500
  Skip The Paint

Skip The Paint (Painted Peppy Doc X Kala Kachina+)  This 2008 Half Arabian gelding is from a deep performance pedigree.  Kayla's a Legion Of Honor earner with all points from reining and all from me showing.  Her oldest foal is Reinman+ (by Desperado V) another LOH earner.  Kayla's sire, Basksand had Championships in halter, driving, English Pleasure, Western Pleasure and Side Saddle back when a championship was something.  Plus he was trail ridden in the western mountains by his owner. Kayla's dam was used for jousting, a popular sport where she lived.  He's a fluid athletic mover showing potential in a variety of disciplines.  With his flashy coloring, you can't lose by making him a life long fun kind of guy just moving from pleasure to reining to dressage and trail riding.  He's got his dam's solid tough feet that trot across those stony trails.  Click on his name for video and pictures taken at 24 months. Plus pictures of his sire.  Currently priced at $3500.

    Kahlief

Kahlief is available for adoption.  I've been fostering him since the end of March and just had him gelded May 26.  He's 21.   He lived outside for most of his life and even had a mare and gelding companion for at least the last several years. The vet floated his teeth, got a coggins, rabies and tetanus.  His feet are trimmed and he's wormed.  Click on his name for more pictures and video.  His original papers were lost in a move, but a former owner has helped with replacing them.  He's got wonderful looking feet and strong big jointed legs and a real fluid forward way of going. UPDATE... I took him to a friend in Indiana who offered to train him.  This is only temporary and he needs a permanent situation.   He's been on several group trail rides.  He's seen deer, turkey, crossed water, and walks, trots, canters on trail and in the ring..... and his stallion behavior seems to be gone.  He was very ho hum when lead over to the pasture to visit with other horses including a mare in heat!   see my news page

  Quincys Got The Cue

(aka Paris)

I have this very nice 2001 palomino registered solid APHA (Paint) and PHBA (Palomino) mare that I'm offering for sale.   She's 15 hands, fairly dark with only a star.  She's got nice solid feet and good bone .    She's bred more for pleasure type than reining, or I'd just keep her, though her maternal grand dam was a World Champion  Junior Cutting Horse.    She's pleasant to live with, gets along with the other horses. She's doing beginning spins and uses herself correctly when stopping. She doesn't switch a tail, or pin an ear.    She foaled a large palomino colt by Darkhist (his first) April 7, 2008.

She's priced at $5000  I've added pedigree information, video and 3 month pictures of colt to her page.  click on her name at left.

Paris went back to trainer mid Feb.  The plan is for her to be shown in a green reining class in late May then she'll come home.

She's had her first trail ride and was wonderful.

NOW See her first reining class from late May.

SOLD.  thank you and congratulations to Lori of NJ

  Smart Black Dress

AKA Belle,  black QH filly born May 1, 2008.   Belle is the first filly born to Uno Mas O Menos by Little Bo Badger and every full brother has points and/or earnings in reining or reined cow horse with one even doing well in halter before beginning his reining career.  Belle leads well and has been hauled a few times to the farrier, tied in his shop with the others for trims.  She has a certain peace and confidence  about her.  I've done some lunging exercises with her (the Clinton Anderson type stuff... sensitizing and desensitizing, sending over poles and scary blue tarp)  She's turned out to be an excellent student and was the baby sitter for Angel's colt, while I rode Angel.

fun page from her first month

Nominated to the NRBC and paid into the NRHA futurity program making her eligible to show as a 3-6 year old in the Futurity and Derby open and/or non pro. Priced at $8,000.  Click on her name for more pictures and info.  New video added at bottom of her page. 4/26/10

  Hollywood Halo

Hollywood Halo (Hollywood White X SC Angels Star) is offered to the discriminating buyer.  Halo born April 15, 2007 is from winning reining parents.  Hollywood White is a 3 time world NRHA reining champion and Angel was a Top Ten National Champion Arabian Reining Futurity horse.  She was the only 4 year old to make Top Ten that year, a futurity open to 4 and 5 year olds. Her sire is SC Buckaroo Bay +/,  a Desperado V son with many National wins in reining.

Halo is not tall, being 14.1 at 31 months, but is getting quite broad in the chest.  She's beautiful to watch.  Light as air and sweet.  She's a bit more distracted by other things than Mellissa, but not bad.

Shannon started her in Feb. and I brought her home mid March.  She's being excellent for me as I practice the Clinton Anderson under saddle exercises I like so much.  I even rode her in a the small pasture one day.

She went back to Shannon in late May and will stay till early Aug.  I want to try a show with her late Aug.

Video from May 31on her page, click on her name.

$8500, sweepstakes nominated

             Darkqin

"Big Kenny" is a tall sweetheart of a gelding.  Born early April 2008, he was big from the get go.  His dam is Quincys Got The Cue (above) so you can see lots of pictures of Kenny's parents on her page.  It's July and I've begun ground work in earnest. I hope to be on him in a couple weeks as my work and energy permits, LOL.  He's pushing 15 hands at the withers and a bit higher at the butt.    He bathes, ties and is hauled to the farrier for trims.  He's mostly outside with buddies and a run in shed, but is fine in a stall.  Stay tuned for a video. he sort of got too fat in April when we were doing them, LOL.  He's current on spring shots.  Priced at $3500.  Sweepstakes nominated.

Dropped him off at the trainer July 31, 2010.  I was going to get on him myself, he's pretty quiet, but the one scheduled to go wrenched something in a new pasture the other night, so I am just staying on the safe side with that one and Kenny was drafted.
